Today the market offers a variety of accessories for Tesla, both affordable and luxurious. Although the new Tesla comes with a fair amount of equipment, there are still some accessories you should consider buying to improve the time you have to spend behind the wheel.
Some accessories can be suitable for any type of car, while others are manufactured strictly for Tesla or even specific Tesla models. Some of the accessories we are going to review are not essentially obligatory to own but would add a lot of convenience to everyday driving.

Dashcam features are part of autopilot cameras in Tesla vehicles. They are amazing at work and provide proper and clear footage, but external storage is required for the feature to work.
Usually, it is recommended to use a USB flash drive. It can be connected to one of the USB ports in the area of the center console. But it would be more convenient to use external SSD storage, due to the more gigabytes of space it provides.
Using SSD external storage with at least 500GB of space would increase the time between required cleaning from old footage. Sentry Mode fills the space much faster than dashcam, so SSD is a must-have if you plan to use it often.
There are different external storages available in different price ranges but we would recommend purchasing the high-quality to ensure its reliable work for a long time.
USB Hub for Tesla to Always Stay Charged Up
Tesla vehicles have two USB ports installed, and while one of them is going to be used for dashcam storage, there is only one left to use for other purposes.
USB hubs with multiple ports multiply available ports so that you can charge multiple gadgets at once. We don’t recommend purchasing cheap USB hubs, because they can slow down the connection. It will result in inappropriate connection and slow charging speed.
Aftermarket Wireless Phone Charging Pad for Tesla Vehicles
It is no secret Tesla charging pads have a bad reputation due to limitations and poor performance. The most hated disadvantage of modern Tesla’s wireless phone charges is their inability to work through phone cases.
If you own a smartphone with a wireless charging feature, having the ability to quickly and easily charge it in your Tesla is very convenient. There are many aftermarket custom wireless pads compatible with Tesla vehicles, so you won’t have a problem with a limited selection.
We recommend purchasing an aftermarket wireless phone charging pad to make the process of charging comfortable and fast. It eliminates the need to always undress your phone from the case and doesn’t require additional USB cables.
Center Display Protector for Tesla
This is another accessory we certainly recommend installing. The Center display has a touchscreen similar to what we have on our smartphones. And since we tend to protect our screens with protective glass or film, the Tesla display deserves the same amount of maintenance. Tesla displays do not come with good protection against scratches and hits. The display is easy to smudge with fingerprints and other dirt, and without protection, it would get scratches as time goes by.
There are custom-made protectors you can purchase, or specially designed touchscreen protectors already made to fit Tesla 3 or Tesla S, or Y models. It is easy to install at home by yourself, and you will ensure the proper protection of your Tesla’s display for a long period of time. Display protectors do not affect the touchscreen responsiveness but reduce the amount of dirt, smudges, and fingerprints that stick to the surface.
Console Wrap for Your Tesla will Keep the Expensive Look
Some would argue that console wrap is strictly an aesthetic decision for the interior of your vehicle. But it is actually a good enhancement when it comes to cleaning and maintaining the stylish look of the Tesla.
Tesla console finishes are very vulnerable to fingerprints, dust, stains, and smudges. Installing a console wrap will reduce the amount of tedious cleaning you have to do to keep the exquisite look. They also come in different finishes and colors, so it is a good choice to customize your Tesla a little.
There are some manufacturers that specialize in console wraps for Tesla, but their prices are usually pretty high. There are many custom-made consoles wraps you can order for any model, it would cost you less, and the quality would be still pretty good.
Tesla Floor Protection
Purchasing floor liners or floor mats are crucial to ensure the protection of the interior against elements, dirt, and moisture. It applies not only to Tesla vehicles but to any vehicle you own. The footwell is the part of the interior that gets the worse treatment. The soles of the shoes bring a lot of dirt, dust, and particles inside. Not only do they make the interior dirty, but the particles also can scratch the surface of the footwell. Moisture and water can also get inside, especially in rainy or snowy weather.
To protect the Tesla’s footwell we recommend purchasing either floor mats or floor liners. There are different models and prices available for these products. Although choosing floor liners are a much better choice, due to better design and performance. Floor liners protect both the bottom and the sides of the footwell, while floor mats only protect the bottom and can be very slippery.
Tesla Cup Holder Liner
If you’ve ever spilled a drink in a cup holder in any Tesla model, you should be familiar with how problematic it is to clean it properly afterward.
Custom-fit liners for Tesla cup holders solve this problem. A cheap but convenient piece of specially designed liner cover will make the cleaning faster and easier. The bottom of the cup holder would be protected against liquid and it would cost you just a couple of dollars.
Tire Maintenance Accessories for Tesla
Instruments for tire maintenance are a must-have for any vehicle, but even more so when it comes to Tesla cars. You probably already know that Tesla car models do not include spare tires, which is an important reason to own instruments to maintain tires on the road.

Vinyl protectors for door sills are cheap and easy to install, but they would provide a great amount of benefit for your Tesla. Chrome door sills on most Tesla car models are vulnerable to scratches and would be affected very fast by the soles of the shoes and different particles. So, while other vehicles do not require such protection, the Tesla door sill should be covered with special protectors if you want to keep them in perfect condition.
Cheaper Sun Shades for Tesla Vehicles
If you suspect that sometimes your Tesla is going to be parked in the sun, the windshield sun shade is necessary to protect the interior from heat and ultraviolet rays. The sun shade would ensure that you’ll come back into a comfortable temperature inside your Tesla. It would also protect the finish of the interior against deterioration that can be caused by direct sunlight.
Tesla manufactures original sun shades that do not come included with the Tesla car. But they tend to be very expensive and overpriced, judging by the material. So purchasing sun shades from other manufacturers would be wiser.
Organizer for a Center Console in Tesla
This small accessory is just a little trinket you can buy for any model of Tesla. It is not a must-have for Tesla owners, and its only purpose is to create sections in the center console so that you can store items separately. For example, many organizers have separate sections for sunscreens, which helps protect them against scratches. Tesla console organizer is completely optional and would be useful only if you like your items to be organized neatly.
